Hello all, it’s GCA season! I’m Aquatic Konquest - or just Konquest, or Kieran, whatever tickles your fancy - and I’m back as host for the 18th Golden Community Awards! And like my first time hosting five years ago, I’m dipping everything in gold! Feast your eyes on this year’s GCA trophy, designed by yours truly! Isn’t he a beauty? Of course, we’ll have to start nominating some people for these awards! First, let’s go over the rules: 1) Post your nominations in this thread. 2) When nominating, you must do at least one section. The Creative Arts section is not a mandatory section and staff will choose if nobody else nominates for it. 3) You may nominate between 2 to 5 choices in the Members & Creative Arts sections. You can only nominate 2 candidates for the Hall of Fame categories. Now, here are the categories! CATEGORIES: MEMBER CATEGORIES: (Note: One new category has been added: Chattiest Member, for most talkative/active Discord member.) Best Story Best Miniseries Best Episode Best Comedy Best Character Best SpongeCraft Build (Image links to the creation - while very very helpful! - are not required but will be added for voting) Best Artwork (Any artwork from #da-art Discord channel or Squidward’s Art Show, be sure to link the image and say who the artist is) Best Pictionary Drawing (Any Pictionary drawing which are stored on the game’s server, be sure to link the image and say who the artist is) HALL OF FAME CATEGORIES: (Note: For this section, you can only nominate 2 for each category.) Honorary Story: Stories that have had a profound impact will be nominated. "Adventures in the Underground City", "Storm Racers", "Jjs' Riffing Theater 3000", "JCMovies", "Team SpongeBob", "SBCinema", "Community Deathmatch", "Mystic Guardians", “My Leg!”, “Skodwarde”, “The Silly Adventures of Patrick Star”, “One-Time SpongeBob Characters”, “Bikini Bottom Nature Watch” and “Pirate Legends” have won previously and cannot be nominated. Honorary Staff Member: Those who have had a profound impact on SBC can be nominated. Former staff can also be nominated for this award. tvguy, jjs, CNF, Wumbo, Nuggets, JCM, Clappy, Patty Sponge, Cha, Fred, teenj, Katie and Hawk have won previously and cannot be nominated. Honorary Member: For ordinary members who you feel deserve special recognition, whether it be based on behaviour, activity, or their contributions in general. Current staff (jjs, JCM, sbl, Hawk, OWM, Trophy, DarknessDG, Katie and Aquatic Konquest) cannot be nominated for this award. Cha, WhoBob, SOF, HawkbitAlpha, sbl, Katniss, Steel, Ex and Prez have won previously and cannot be nominated. Honorary Skin: To honor the artwork of our artists over the years by highlighting impactful forum themes. The Stephen Hillenburg Community has won previously and cannot be nominated. Please note that any skin with both a light and dark theme will be counted as a single skin. The deadline to post your nominations is November 22nd.
