  1. Picture, if you will, the Bikini Bottom as we know it. A metropolis just beneath the ocean's surface, teeming with undersea life. But what if I told you there is a timeline where one of its residents may as well have never existed? A world where a certain rodent was brutally killed in a car accident before she could ever arrive (or maybe she was hit in the face with acid, I don't know)? If you want to take a peek into this twisted dimension, look no further than...The Shitpost Zon- erm, I mean, What If...? Episode 2: What If…Sandy Cheeks Died as a Child? Without the invention of Sandy Cheeks' water helmets, it's very unlikely that SpongeBob, Patrick, and every other undersea creature would ever be able to survive in oxygen-filled environments at all. They would forever be confined to the ocean, never feeling the desire to explore what is beyond their underwater sky. Additionally, the Bikini Bottom residents would never have a land creature as a punching bag to make fun of, therefore making them slightly more racist among themselves. And by "slightly", I mean "a lot". During a rehearsal for the Bubble Bowl, instead of a small fight breaking out between Harold and Mr. Krabs, it turns into an all out riot. The damages to the town are immense, and every crab in Bikini Bottom is unjustly forced to move above water, thereby causing the closure of the Krusty Krab. Years pass by, and the entire population now has to deal with the consequences of their actions and eat at the Chum Bucket, while SpongeBob lacks any purpose in life and becomes a soulless husk of his former self. In an attempt to rejuvenate the economy, the rest of Bikini Bottom ventures to the surface to make amends with the crabs, but unfortunately they only last for minutes on land before they pass out from heat exhaustion, never reaching their former crustacean associates at all. Ultimately, SpongeBob is left alone. He never sees anyone else for the rest of his life, but he doesn't notice nor does he care. He is lifeless. This is sonicjordan's SpongeBob SquarePants. A city in ruins with its only sign of life not even having life to begin with. Why does he want Sandy dead so bad? Would anyone watch this show? I mean I would, but that isn't relevant. The existence of Sandy is vital to the rest of the show, and his failure to realize this has resulted in the darkest possible outcome for Bikini Bottom. So, to answer the question on everyone's mind: Is sonicjordan stupid? No. He is Texas.

  2. 26. "Robert bathtoys?!?!" Naughty Nautical Neighbors - 104 points 6 of 35 lists (Highest ranking #4, @ThePickleMan) (+26) Season: 1 Writers: Sherm Cohen, Aaron Springer, and Doug Lawrence Plot: Squidward destroys SpongeBob and Patrick's friendship, but they soon begin fighting over him. Honestly, this episode making it onto the list kinda baffled me. Most of this list are great and popular episodes, but this is an episode that I always looked at as a random weaker season 1 episode. But, this is actually one of the more popular ones. This is one of the first episodes of the series to show the dynamic between SpongeBob, Squidward, and Patrick, while putting a humorous spin on it. SpongeBob and Patrick hating each other and fighting over who gets to be Squidward’s best friend is amusing. It’s even funnier from Squidward’s perspective; he tricked SpongeBob and Patrick into hating each other because they were annoying him, but they’re just annoying him even more. I also love the “gang’s all here” joke and Patrick instantly falling asleep when Squidward starts playing his clarinet, as well as suddenly appearing in his bathtub. Overall, while I can’t say I fully agree with this episode being on the list, I get why it’s here. Also, interesting fun fact: This is the first time Naughty Nautical Neighbors has made the top 50, let alone the top 30, and therefore also the only time it's made it onto a list outside of HMs. 25. EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION OH NO!!! No Free Rides - 111 points 6 of 35 lists (Highest ranking #2, @Wumbo@RD Rockruff@Klu) (+19) Season: 2 Writers: Aaron Springer, C.H. Greenblatt, and Doug Lawrence Plot: Mrs. Puff passes SpongeBob just so she doesn't have to deal with him. Honestly, I used to consider this episode overrated and thought it was just pretty good. As time went on however, I realized how good this episode truly is. This episode basically has two extremely funny halves to it. The first half has Mrs. Puff basically giving SpongeBob a license for free by only requiring SpongeBob to write a couple words about what he’s learned in boating school, and yet SpongeBob is STILL not able to complete it and goes insane over it, all while Mrs. Puff desperately wants SpongeBob to just do it so she can pass SpongeBob and give him a license. It’s such a hilarious sequence. And then the second half involves Mrs Puff trying to steal SpongeBob’s car, while SpongeBob tries to stop her. This half is just hilarious joke after hilarious joke after hilarious joke, with many hilarious moments like SpongeBob being the car’s radio and SpongeBob getting hit by traps, including EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION OH NO!!! While this episode wasn’t on my list, It’s still nice to see it here.
