    • 😅 well what did he say?
    • Episode 302: Flip or Flop Tommy is finally released from prison and, unsurprisingly, there's no one there to welcome him back to the outside world. He calls his younger brother, Monroe, on a pay phone to see if he can crash with him until he can get back on his feet, but Monroe has long since abandoned the number that Tommy had on him. Tommy calls his father, Fred, who doesn't accepts calls from unknown numbers. Tommy leaves a message, but Fred assumes it to be a solicitor, so he erases it without even bothering to listen to what it had to say. He dials in Tom's number, but stops upon remembering that he's still dead. With no one else to turn to and nowhere else to go, Tommy is advised to settle into a halfway house. He calls for a cab and his pedicab driver turns out to be none other than Scott. Scott is well aware of just who Tommy is so he takes an instant dislike to the recent parolee, contemplating whether or not he should just kill the filth right then and there. Scott decides to save the bullets, instead dumping Tommy off in a rough part of the Donx. He soon runs afoul of a gang of Atlantic Spadefish, who recognize him from his Booty Boppin' days. He fights them off long enough to escape the Donx on the subway. He gets off in Sea Queens, where his new halfway home is located. He gets weird looks from most everybody he comes across and is even refused service in the local Krusty Krab franchise. Which says a lot. He checks in at the halfway home and is welcomed with closed fists. In the B-plot, Monroe, is helping to train and condition a dolphin actor by the name of Flip Flopper for an upcoming movie role. Monroe tries to further charm his way into Flip's good graces so that he could be offered a role in the very same movie, but the deeper he tries to ingrain himself onto the dolphin's good side, the deeper he gets into the mind of his client. Secretly harboring a deep depression behind his artificially Coralwood-created facade, Flip soon comes to see Monroe as both a pal and confidant as their workout sesh goes on. Monroe soon realizes that he's becoming his dad and can no longer bring himself to try and manipulate the dolphin anymore by the session's end. In the C-plot, Fred is discharged from the hospital and returns to work, having since been promoted to being a member of Squilliam's entourage. This job entails that Fred must follow Squilliam everywhere he goes and pretty much be his his bitch alongside others, all with the purpose of boosting Squilliam's ego and public profile. Fred secretly doesn't want to return to the monotony of his crappy life after days of utter bliss in the hospital. During one of Squilliam's hourly walks around town, bragging to everyone within earshot about just how rich he is, Fred accidentally falls down an open manhole while fantasizing about Nurse Bazooka. While Fred is once again rushed to the hospital, this event forces Rick to be left to his own devices while on the job. Something that doesn't bode well for Fancyson & Sons as a whole. Episode 303: Meeting Halfway After stupidly being mistaken for brothers during a cheat day at the Krusty Krab 6, Monroe is offered the opportunity to be Flip Flopper's stunt double in his latest movie. Believing his athletic background to be sufficient enough to handle the workload, Monroe is given a crash course in real danger. This causes Monroe to look back at all the stress and danger he put his father through during his youth and finally begins to understand his father's fears and anxiety a little. He attempts to get back in touch with Fred, but decides not to at the last second. In the B-plot, Fred makes more of an effort to get to know Nurse Bazooka during this latest hospital stay, but she isn't willing to take things farther than a typical nurse-patient relationship should be. Fred opts to ask her out on a date for after he gets discharged. Nurse Bazooka humors him before finally agreeing to those terms. In the C-plot, Tommy acclimates to his new living situation, meeting and getting to know each of his new housemates a bit more, but they can't bring themselves to accept him because of the crime he committed. Tommy tells them that they just have to deal with him until he can get back on his feet, something he guarantees will happen real soon. Meanwhile, Rick is on the verge of losing another high profile case for the Fancysons, but is only spared the rod when the Fancysons go out of their way to "convince" the jury into their favor. Rick is called into a meeting with Squilliam Fancyson I, himself, where he gets unceremoniously fired and even disbarred for his incompetence. Rick vows to fight this, but he's reminded that he can't do so by himself because he's disbarred lol. Episode 304: Rock, Meet Hard Place Fred returns to work at Fancyson & Sons, finding out for himself that Rick got both laid off and cut off from practicing law. He makes plans to meet up with his friend for a couple drinks after work, but Rick has already been at the bar for most of the day. Larry meets them there and streams Rick's wallowing for all his Tweak followers to see. Rick vows to take Fancyson and Sons down one way or another, asking Fred to join him, but Fred is content with the money that Squilliam III pays him to be apart of his entourage. Rick accuses Fred of betraying their friendship while Larry tries to calm things down by offering to help Rick channel his anger and frustration toward so,etching constructive. Scott the pedicab driver overhears all of this at the other end of the bar and offers to help Rick in his crusade against the Fancysons, who he perceives as the proprietors of all the filth plaguing New Kelp City. Fred leaves for his date with Nurse Bazooka, who ends up standing him up at the Sa-lad Garden they agreed to meet at. In the B-plot, Tommy receives a visitor at the halfway house in the form of his uncle, Frederick, who looks exactly like Fred except that his scales are blue. Tommy is honestly just overjoyed that somebody in his family finally bothered to check in on him since being released from prison. Frederick takes Tommy out to the new Flip Flopper flick, "Live to Flip Another Day Forever". However, Tommy's presence proves to be a huge distraction for Frederick, who can't even bare to sit in the same theater as Tommy for what he did, only agreeing to this as a favor to Fred. Frederick condemns Tommy and leaves with a disgusted "DEEEEAUUUUUGHHH!" Tommy clears his thoughts by watching the remainder of the movie, then makes no mistake in recognizing his brother's lame ass name in the credits for his stunt work. Concluding that his family don't want anything to do with him and have all moved on without him, Tommy returns to the halfway home more alone and aimless than he's ever been. In the C-plot, Monroe takes on a brand new client, football all-star and former PMU teammate, Ray Sting! They catch up, with Ray confiding in Monroe how his promise to never leave New Kelp City at the end of Squid has negatively impacted his life since graduating college. Ray can't even join his team, the New Kelp Patriots, in games on the road, only being able to play home games. This has led to the Patriots being undefeated at home. Ray asks Monroe how life's been for him since his career-ending leg injury during his rookie season for the Patriots. Monroe says he's pretty happy with where he's at, but this conversation soon opens up old wounds about his failed football career. Ray consoles his old teammate and they proceed to take their anger out on the weights at Larry's Gym.
